" I FELT LIKE BRER RABBIT IN MY OWN PATCH' , GREAT JOB. LISTEN THE BEST THAT I CAN RECALL. WAS I CAME ABOARD AROUND JULY OR AUG. 1971 BEFORE WE LEFT FOR YOKOSUKA. I WAS A CSSN. IN THE GALLEY WITH PALKA, HOGELAND , MORGAN & WILKERSON. I GOT STUCK AS THE NITE BAKER. I REMEMBER THE DECK HATCH OUT SIDE THE GALLEY, THAT I WOULD THROW FRESH BAKED GOODS DOWN TO THE SNIPES. I REMEMBER THE TORPEDO BOATS… I WAS IN THE AFTER GUN MOUNT FOR MY G.Q. STATION. PAUL WEAVER , GM HELPED PULL STRINGS TO GET ME THERE . I LEFT JAN. 1973 TO GET A CYST REMOVED AT THE HOSPITAL. THEY RECUPERATED ME & SENT ME HOME 3 MONTHS EARLY.

EVERYBODY KNEW ME AS" MAGOO". I WOULD LIKE TO GET ON THE LIST. LET ME KNOW WHAT ELSE YOU MIGHT NEED. BY THE WAY I HAVE OLD PICTURES . SOME GOOD ONES OF" DIRT BAG" PERKINS ALSO WERE YOU WITH US WHEN WE WENT CAMPING AT HAKONE IN JAPAN? I KNOW MIKE CLOVER WAS THERE.
